Mighty Movers Greeters Ushers Hospitality Information Center Tape Ministry Sound Operation

Several ministries exist in direct support of our Sunday and special services at Evergreen.

Mighty Movers

Because we are a mobile church holding services in a rented school building on weekends, the ministry of set-up and take-down is vital. Our Mighty Movers teams are engaged weekly and in support of some special events to facilitate the fulfillment of set-up and take-down needs and the storage, transport and maintenance of equipment and supplies.

Greeters

We realize that our guests may appreciate some assistance in finding their way around an unfamiliar building like ours at Beaver Lake Middle School. Our service hosts and hostesses are available at each entrance and in the auditorium for that purpose, as well as to offer a warm greeting to worshippers as they arrive.

Ushers

In the conduct of our worship services there are routine elements and tasks to be performed both within the service itself and behind the scenes. Our usher teams are always on hand to wait upon the congregation by guiding people to available seating, taking up, accounting for and securing weekly offerings, and preparing and distributing communion elements on those occasions when we share together in the Lord’s Supper.

Hospitality

A warm cup of coffee or tea is often appreciated as one enters the auditorium for a morning of worship, fellowship and service. These basic elements of hospitality, along with an occasional special treat, are made available to the congregation as it gathers.

Information Center

Here guests and regular attenders find a sampling of information about ministries, activities and programs at Evergreen, available every Sunday morning in the auditorium at Beaver Lake Middle School. It is here also that our ministries profile opportunities for involvement, welcoming registration and reservations as they approach. The Information Center is typically staffed by helpful attendants to answer questions.

Tape Ministry

All Sunday morning messages are recorded, duplicated, archived and made available for purchase by attenders, who wish to listen to the message again at a later time, pass the message on to a friend, or perhaps catch up on an earlier message that was missed. Tapes may be ordered and picked-up weekly at the Information Center.

Sound Operation

The management and operation of sound systems is an important service at Evergreen, given all that is going on upfront during a typical worship service. Our sound ministry includes set-up, operation and take-down of equipment each Sunday morning.
