We are pleased to serve God through a host of care ministries available to members and regular
attenders at Evergreen.
Biblical counseling and referrals to Christian counseling professionals in our area are available
to ECF members and attenders through our ministry of pastoral care. We purpose to provide encouragement,
guidance and support through the counsel of God’s Word as our people deal with crises and issues in their
experience of life.
If an ECFer or a member of their immediate family faces surgery or hospitalization, we like to know about
it so that we might be there for them in an effort to bring comfort and encouragement.
Each week a prayer letter is published and distributed to ECF elders, staff and other Prayer Team members.
If a worshipper has a prayer request they would like us to know about that we might pray with them and for them,
they are invited to note it on their Welcome Card on Sunday morning. Their request is then passed along through
the prayer letter.
This ministry is primarily for use at times of crisis or emergency. If such arises, ECF members and attenders
are urged to call our offices with their prayer concern, and our prayer chain will be activated immediately.
Meals of Mercy is a ministry of compassion to those in the ECF family who due to a challenging or crisis life
circumstance are unable to prepare meals for themselves or their family for a short period of time.
This ministry of care exists to extend a helping hand of comfort and support to Evergreen families facing crisis
through the provision of basic household services and childcare.
e.care seeks to serve and support members of the Evergreen family as they encounter hardship, crisis, trial, burdens
of concern or significant life passages through written notes of comfort and encouragement.
From time to time there are folks at Evergreen who due to unexpected circumstance find themselves facing financial
hardship. This ministry extends a helping hand by facilitating needed financial
assistance and providing appropriate financial counsel in an effort to bring short-term
relief and long-term recovery.
The ministry of absentee follow-up exists to facilitate communication, demonstrate concern and assess personal and
family needs with members and attenders of Evergreen who have been absent from worship services.
There is no more important time of life for a man and woman than the season of preparation for entering into the
marriage relationship. Through our ministry of pastoral care we are pleased to offer
pre-marital counseling to couples, as well as to assist in the planning and conduct
of the wedding service.
The loss of a loved one is also a most significant and tender time in the life
experience of an individual or family. Evergreen’s ministry of pastoral care stands
ready to offer support and hope in the season of loss through grief counseling as
needed and assistance in the planning and conduct of the funeral or memorial service.
